6 woes in Isaiah chapter 5
1. Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land. Surely the great houses will become desolate, the fine mansion left without occupants.( v8-9 )
2. Woe to those who who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine. They have harps and lyres at their banquets, tambourines and flutes and wine but they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord no respect for the work of His hand.( v11-12 )
3. Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit and wickedness as with as with cart ropes (V18)
4. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil .who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter (V 20 )
5. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight (v21)
6. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks,who acquit the guilty for a bribe but deny justice to the innocent.Therefore as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust (V 22 -24)

7 WOES IN MATTHEW 23 WHICH JESUS SAID:
1. woe to you teachers of the law and pharisees ,you hypocrites ! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s face.You yourself do not enter ,nor will you let those enter who are trying to ( V 13
2. Woe to you teachers of the law and pharisees ,you hypocriites! you travel over land and sea to win a single convert and when he becomes one ,you make himtwice as much as a son of hell as you are ( 15)
3. Woe to you blind guides! You say “If anyone swears by the temple it means nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple ,he is bound by his oath (v 16)
4. Woe to you teachers of the lawand Pharisees,you hypocrates! you give a tenth of your spices -mint,dill and cummin but you have neglected the more important matters of the law-justice,mercy and faithfullness..You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel ( v 23-24
5. Woe to you teachers of the law and pharisees ,you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish but inside they are full of greed and self indulgence (25)
6. Woe to you teachers of the law and Pharisees ,you hypocrites ! you are like white washed tombs which looks beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean ( V 27 )
7. qWoe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites ! you build tombs for the prophets and decorates the geraves of the righteous and you say if we had lived in the days of our forefathers we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets ( V 29-30 )
This is the word of God. Let us all examine ourselves and be wise.
