•-Through this esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw immediate and urgent attention of the United Naga Council (UNC) the apex body of the Manipur Nagas. Kindly note that, I represent no organization or group or self vested interest but a sole student with keen interest to learn UNC’s ideology and action since last year’s NPC.
That,
(1) Since the much anticipated aftermath declaration of Naga People’s Convention (NPC) on 1st July last year at Senapati District H/Q, what definite action has been implemented to fulfill those important charters of the NPC?
(2) Till date, what result has the UNC produced in mock resignation of all the UNC sponsored Naga MLAs?
(3) Defending the NPC vigorously, what positive action has been executed by the UNC to achieve the so called “null and void” declaration of Manipur District Council Act in Naga Hill Districts?
(4) With the much delayed ‘Tripartite Talk’ to be held on 30th May, 2011, why was UNC sleeping over after the first round talk since 3rd December, 2010 last year?
(5) Why is the so called highest level of decision making NPC so important, when UNC could not even fulfill or achieve a single agenda till today?
(6) Will the Nagas in Manipur continue to bear the brunt of a step motherly treatment by the communal anti-Nagas SPF led O.Ibobi Singh State Government, while the so called apex body UNC sleep over the issues and vanish?
Putting in some few humble personal opinions, I would suggest the present incumbent UNC members to resign owing moral responsibilities for the above facts known to the people. Secondly, UNC sleeping over the issue is directly helping and hand in glove with the present anti-Naga state Government to repress/destroy the Nagas in Manipur. Lastly, it’s time the UNC wake up now and starts working practically or face the wrath of the Nagas for betraying the faith we reposed on them.
