Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): The Aboi District Demand Committee (ADCC) has expressed dismay over the state Government for non-declaration of Aboi district Hq during the recent declaration of district headquarters namely Tseminyu, Chümoukedima and Niuland on December 2021 in Nagaland.
According to ADDC Media Cell, Aboi despite full filling the criteria for the creation of new district, the State government has turned deaf to the hue and cry of the public. In this regard, the public under the banner of ADDC will not sit quiet but will raise voice until the Government of Nagaland declares Aboi as the full fledged district. “The ADDC may resort to undemocratic approaches of which the state government will be responsible,” the committee cautioned.
It mentioned that the Aboi Hq and Noklak Hq were placed during the Cabinet Memo 2011 and hence, “ADDC is one of the oldest demand of its own district but how many districts have been declared till date but have ignored our demand.”
The ADDC questioned the Government that on what ground the district demand for Aboi Hq is being turn down? “Tthe ADDC had submitted the complete profile and its feasibility for the creation of Aboi HQ since a decade. Even if the government takes tribe into consideration for non declaration of Aboi district under Mon than what about the recent new creation of Districts in the state,” it stated.
