Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): The Golden Crown Theological College organized a fundraising event – Winter Fest – at the college premises here on December 2.
The event included a buffet-style dinner with a host of other activities like live music and games, according to a press release. The students of the college set up stalls selling local delicacies, gift items and winter apparels.
Apart from its focus of raising funds for the college, the event also aimed to bring friends and well wishers to celebrate the “glorious season”.
This year, the focus of the event was to put up solar panels to generate electricity to meet the irregularities in the supply of power in the area. “The current power crisis has had its toll on the life and functioning of the institution making it inevitable to find an alternative means to this vital need of the college,” the release stated.
The proceeds from the event will directly benefit the students, it added.
