A nation that is preoccupied with internal bickering and greed is a nation without soul and vision. When people engage in activities that are detrimental to the society and nation at large, a hole is created in the nation, which only works to the interests of outsiders. With each passing day, the hole gets bigger and bigger, which emboldens the outsiders to take advantage of the nation’s weakness and wreak havoc upon. The outsiders are helped in their mischievous endeavor by crooked people within the nation, who sway easily to the sound of copper coins. They are also no less than willing to sell off their land and spill the blood of their fellow countrymen. In the process, the common man is subject to untold sufferings and misery. The remaining ‘good’ people who are considered righteous, refuse to speak out against the evils perpetrated for fear of their own safety. Injustice prevails.
The outsider comes in different forms. Some come carrying a mountain of wealth, some with large flags and banners, some with the promise of paradise and some even come singing tunes of strange melodies. The outsider does not rest till the goal of tearing the nation apart is achieved.
In order to rid the body of illnesses, one must make sure that the internal mechanism is strong. This can happen only when one is careful and alert not to consume dangerous substances which could otherwise harm the body and shorten the lifespan. Likewise, a nation in order to rid itself of the many evils and misfortunes, must first suppress the bad elements within before taking any step towards neutralizing the destructive outside forces. Only when this is realized and executed can a nation witness the sun shining brightly over its land with the promise of a new dawn.
