DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 16 (MExN): The Wokha District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of November was held at DC’s Conference Hall on November 16.
Vice Chairman & DC Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan IAS, conducted the meeting where agendas namely registration of agro technology resources centre and services society; installation of 50 years golden jubilee monolith of district formation and review of Aspirational Villages were discussed.
The registration of agro technology resources centre and services society was recommended to the state government for approval. Chairman DPDB & Advisor Agriculture, MhathungYanthan in his opening remark called upon the society to work in tandem with the agriculture & allied department to enhance and uplift the economic status of the district. Yanthan also appealed to all the Lotha community for active participation during the golden jubilee celebration.
District Planning Officer (DPO) Wokha, Y Orenbomo Lotha highlighted various activities and programmes chalked out for the district formation golden jubilee celebration on December 21.
Forest & Environment Department, Youth Resources and Sports, DRDA, Sericulture, Economics & Statistics and ARCS highlighted their activities and work programme earmarked for the implementation at the Aspirational Villages. MLA 38th AC Wokha Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe also attended the meeting.
