Celebrating World Music Day, TAFMA Wokha District Partner held their first Musicians' Convergence with Lichumo Murry, District Programme Office Land Resource gracing the event as the special guest at Hammock Resort on June 21.
Lichumo Murry in his speech lauded the TAFMA Wokha District Partner for organising the event bringing every musicians of Wokha district to celebrate World Music Day.
A total of five bands namely Vintage Chord, The Keys, AMNS, New Dawn, Galaxies and seven solo artists namely Nchumbemo Patton, Lirhoni Z Lotha, Libemo Jami, Nchumbemo Yanthan, Stephen P Tungoe, Thung TJ Yan, Yanbothung Ezung performed at the event enthralling the audience with various music genre.
TAFMA, in-charge of Wokha District Mhademo Enny, stated that the Musicians' Convergence is an independent initiative by TAFMA Wokha District, which aims lookout for the musicians within the district. Enny said he was overjoyed to see such good participation from the people and also positive response from the audience. He stated that the convergence will be held as a yearly event from henceforth, and that more participation is expected in the coming year event as well.
