The Platinum Jubilee celebration of Lakhuti Students' Union (Lk.S.U) with the theme “Together into the future” commenced at Lakhuti village ground in Wokha district on December 28.
Gracing the inaugural celebration as the inaugural guest, Khonchamo Ngullie, Lk.S.U President (1974), his speech extended a rapturous platinum jubilee greeting to the gatherings. He emphasised cleanliness as a vital aspect of life which should be normalised by all to secure healthy lifestyle and sustenance.
He also encouraged all students not to only depend on one single skill but implement robust skills and talent which will be enormously beneficial in the future.
Earlier, Lk.S.U Vice President, Orenthung Ngullie in the welcome address acknowledged all the delegates from neighbouring villages and Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union President, Wonchibemo B Ovung shared greetings. Orenthung Yanthan, Head GB, Lakhuti village in the exhortation stated that education should be considered as an important blessing in life and knowledge as the biggest gift. He encouraged utilising the knowledge and inculcating the same to the others as well.
The Jubilee Souvenir was launched by the Khonchamo Ngullie. The session was chaired by Sharon Kikon and Mhabeni Yanthan. The celebration will continue till December 29.
