Dimapur, April 13 (MExN): The Dimapur District GB Association has demanded revocation of the appointment of woman GB, Ajela as Gaon Bura (Village Chief) maintaining that it was against Naga customary laws. The GB association through MY Ngullie, President, Pukollie, Treasurer and Longri Jamir, Joint Secretary reminded that regarding the appointment of Ajela as GB in the year 2005, representing Ward 11 Dimapur, a submission has been forwarded to the government. However, till now no action has been taken by the concerned authorities. “Hence we appeal to the authority to revoke her appointment which is against Naga customary law” the Dimapur GB association stated.
