Nagaland Minister for PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, emphasised the importance of hard work and integrity to succeed in life. The Western Sumi Students Union (WSSU) organised a programme on October 30 at Chekiye village, Dimapur, felicitating 28 youths from the Sumi community, who had recently cleared the NPSC, NSSB and other Central departmental examinations to land jobs.

Speaking at the programme, Zhimomi said that while hard word would result in success, striving to succeed early on in life is just as essential. Terming the 20s as a crucial phase when the youths should prepare for their future, he advised the youths against squandering this phase in life.

He reassured those who have not yet succeeded that it is never too late and that hard work will open doors. Zhimomi stressed the role of parents in shaping their children's careers, advising them to guide with wisdom and prayers.

He further noted the government's focus on youth development, urging them to seize opportunities without shame and develop a strong work ethic.

A host of dignitaries from the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), Western Sumi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) and Western Sumi Sports Association (WSSA) were also in attendance.
