Workshop on good governance week held at Phek

Phek, December 20 (MExN): A workshop on Good Governance Week was conducted at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Phek on December 20.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam, welcomed the officers and participants, emphasizing the importance of the workshop. The programme was chaired by EAC Phek, Imnasenla Walling.

During the workshop, Vetsiyo Vero, District Coordinator from the Medical Department for the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), presented on the scheme’s implementation. He highlighted the coverage provided by CMHIS, which offers insurance benefits of Rs 5 lakh for the general public and Rs 20 lakh for government employees. His presentation included detailed insights through a PowerPoint session.

Veyito Nyekha, District Project Assistant under the Education Department, delivered a presentation on development initiatives undertaken by NECTAR Projects in Phek district. Meanwhile, EAC Phek, Balong Phom, discussed the grievance redressal mechanisms in place. He informed attendees that the public can meet the Deputy Commissioner to report and discuss grievances four days a week for three hours each day, with Wednesdays and Saturdays designated as restricted days.

The workshop featured comprehensive presentations from the Medical, School Education Departments, and District Administration, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. ADC Phek, Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
