Workshop on IP practical aspects held

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 2 (MExN): The Department of Biotechnology, Nagaland University, School of Engineering and Technology, Dimapur in partnership with NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), organized a six-day national workshop on IP Practical Aspects from October 23-28. 

The workshop drew participants from various regions across the country, representing diverse academic backgrounds, including B Pharma, BTech, MSc, and PhD scholars. Throughout the workshop, participants underwent examinations and successfully completed the program, a press release informed. 

Dr Gouri Gargate from IIT Kharagpur delivered the lectures, providing comprehensive insights into different types of intellectual property and their associated rights. Participants gained knowledge on how to search, draft, and file patents, GI, ID, trademarks, and copyrights.

This workshop was planned by Dr Hanumant Singh Rathore and Dr Imlitoshi Jamir, both Assistant Professors in the Department of Biotechnology at Nagaland University.
