CBCK theme: ‘Keep looking unto Jesus’
Kohima, November 5 (MExN): The Children Ministry of Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) today observed World Sunday School Day cum graduation celebration at the Church premises under the theme ‘Keep looking unto Jesus.’ Neinuo Lohe was the main speaker while Rev. Khrotso Mero pronounced “Prayer of blessing.” The programme was led by Veduzo Rhakho and the report of the CBCK Sunday School was presented by Asabu Puro. Sunday school children presented songs while graduating class also performed at the programme.
‘Christian education should be given focus’
Kohima, November 5 (MExN): Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church D. Block observed World Sunday School Day on November 5 at the church premises.
Pastor N. Silubo in his exhortation informed that the first Sunday School was started by Robert Raikes in the city of Gloucester in England in 1780. During the early days, reading of Arithmetic and Bible were taught in Sunday Schools, he said.
The Pastor stated that in Sunday Schools it is much preferred to teach Christian education and to focus on how important Christian education is.
Meanwhile, he appreciated the church Sunday School teachers for their efforts. Children presented several songs and plays in the programme.
The Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church Sunday School department also organized sightseeing programme with all the Sunday School children at Highland Park, Kohima.
World Sunday School Day cum Sunday School Graduation was celebrated at Sumi Baptist Church Bamunpukhuri, Dimapur with choreography, music, play and dance by the children of the church. 10 children (seen in the picture) graduated from Sunday School. A special prayer for the graduating students was led by Pastor Hekato Awomi. Zeme Baptist Church Kohima celebrated World Sunday School Day on November 5.
