DIMAPUR, JANUARY 11 (MExN): The Change Initiative team Wozhuro organized the Wozhuro Range Sports meet from January 8 to 10 at mini stadium, Wozhuro town.
The inaugural function was graced by K Mhathung Tsanglao, NCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Wokha as the special guest. He stressed on the theme and exhorted the gathering that besides sports, we need to build more bridges instead of building walls in other areas of life as well, be it political, economic or social and et al- if we are to march ahead together towards progress and development.
The sports meet was conducted in two disciplines- football and volleyball where nine teams competed for the title.
The Rising Club, Shaki village emerged as the football champion after defeating Phiro Village Club by a solitary goal, while in Volleyball Sankiton village Sporting Club and Rising Club, Shaki emerged as the Champion and Runners up respectively.
