The ten day long Intensive Wrestling Training Camp 2024 commenced today at Yisisotha under Meluri Sub Division of Phek district.
This camp was initiated by Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) in association with Pochury Wrestling Association (PWA).
27 wrestling enthusiasts from Pochury community registered for this camp on the first day.
NWA vice president (Admn) Mitwatei Haibwang encouraged the campers to give full attention and learn the art of wrestling through this camp.
Prominent wrestlers Zasevikho Meyatsu, Savizo Thira and Rangkolong Mbung will conduct the camp.
Earlier, the launching program was chaired by Sipichü Pfithu, president PWA while PWA executive member Er. Joyson Yitsuthu delivered welcome address. NWA vice president (Gen) Viketouzo Meyase gave introductory note.
NWA has already conducted similar training at Wokha in association with Lotha Wrestling Association (LWA).
Similar camp will take place at Tseminyu on October 14 in association with Rengma Wrestling Association (RWA), and also, in Zunheboto district in association with Sumi Wrestling Association (SWA), according to NWA Media Cell.
