WSH sounds clarion call against clashes

Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has also condemned the recent killing of a member belonging to NSCN/GPRN (Akato) and abduction of three other members in Lapalampong village under Tizit area allegedly by the NSCN(IM).
The culture of violence and factional killing have caused immense loss and hindered the prospect of peace, stability, and aspirations of the Nagas for early settlement, it said.

In this connection, the WSH said that it is disheartening to witness such “factional killing” allegedly involving one of the prominent stakeholders in the ongoing political talks, when the Nagas have been aspiring for early solution and settlement. Such an incident undermines the progress made in the peace negotiations and early settlement to the Naga political issue, it asserted.

“The NSCN (IM) should also note that the path to lasting peace and prosperity lies in dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation and not by engaging in factional clashes,” it added.

To this end, the WSH stated “loud and clear” to all Naga Political Groups (NPGs) that “it will not tolerate any form of factional clashes or killing within its jurisdiction.”

The WSH will not hesitate to issue non cooperation against any NPGs found “involved in any forms of factional clashes or killings in defiance to this clarion call” within its jurisdiction, it added.
