Y Anner Village Students’ Union holds 63rd general session

Shamator, January 11 (MExN): The 63rd general session of Y Anner Village Students’ Union (YVSU) was held under the theme ‘strive towards excellence’ on January 11. 

Gracing the event as the chief guest, S Yanba Yimkhiung, Advisor, Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) expressed gratitude for inviting him to such “important programme as Y Anner being the oldest village of Yimkhiung-land and a home of all our forefathers.”

As per a DIPR report, Yanba exhorted the students to be more responsible. “Lead our people as now the world is different from our forefathers, where the quality education with consistent hardwork will complete rest of the state and the nation,” he said.

Being the “oldest village of our tribe,” Yanba said, “the citizens as well as the leaders should be an exemplary in all aspects of our life seeking God's guidance making our Lord Jesus our central part of our goal will definitely open our way of success.”

Earlier, the programme was compered by N Youngkiumong Yimkhiung and Risola Jan, invocation by P Mukamchim, Youth Pastor, Y Anner Village Baptist Church; guard of honour by NVG. Y. Anner, traditional welcome song by Thründan Luntsün Club, welcome address by L Shophu, Union President, short speech by Yimtokiu Hd GB Y Anner Village and H Hanji Yimkhiung VP, YTC and vote of thanks by Wongcham, Advisor YVSU.
