Shamator, November 2 (MExN): Yimchungrü Akherü Arihako (YAA) office cum library was inaugurated by DUDA Director K S Anden Konyak and dedicated by YBBA President Rev. R Thsankiu at Shamator town on November 1. The construction was funded by DUDA under the initiative of ENSF, a press note from Media Cell YAA informed. In his welcome address, YAA Acting President T Solumba lauded DUDA for financing the construction and said that the inauguration of YAA office cum Library was a long cherished dream which was realized despite many hurdles. Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, Anden Konyak expressed his happiness over the proper utilization of allotted fund. He also called upon the people of Shamator to have a sense of belongings and to judiciously use public property and also urged the public to extend their co-operation and participation in order to forge ahead in every sphere. The program was chaired by P. Thsantsumong, Literary Secretary YAA while it started with invocation by Chimjiba Martin, Catechist St. Francis Church, Shamator. A vote of thanks was given by L. Akhang General Secretary while the Chaplain Police Baptist Fellowship Shamator Shophu pronouced the benediction. YTC President and Kaisa, Cultural Secretary, YWO also spoke on the occasion. It was also attended by Col. Vineet, Commandant 15 Assam Rifle, representative from YBBA, YGBU, Shamator Town Public Forum, Shamator Town Council, GBs, DBs, and federating units President.
