‘Yaruiwo’ comes home

DIMAPUR, JAN 3 (MExN): Sometime tonight, ‘Yaruiwo’, or Chairman, of the NSCN (I-M), Isak Chishi Swu, is expected to arrive at Dimapur, Nagaland. Kilonser of Information and Publicity of the organization, ‘Major (Retd)’ Johnny Dilbung in a release said, “The NSCN/GPRN with extreme joyousness welcomes His Excellency the Yaruiwo, Isak Chishi Swu’s return home.” 

Thanking the Almighty for safely bringing Swu back home “from his selfless sacrificial journey abroad for the cause of the Nagas and our nation,” Dilbung said, “It is a day of jubilation and delight to have back among us our leader, which everyone had been eagerly awaiting for.” 

The NSCN/GPRN also thanked profusely the churches, prayer centers, missionaries and all well-wishers for their incessant prayers for which “our leader could reach us safe and sound.” Appealing for “gracious continuity in prayers for the harmonious, happy and comfortable stay” of Swu, the release said, “We hope for wonderful and meaningful interactions with him in the coming days to come.”  

During a later conversation with an NSCN (I-M) leader, it was brought to light that an official reception is to be accorded to Chairman Swu at the organization’s Council Headquarters at Hebron. 

Thuingaleng Muivah, General Secretary of the NSCN (I-M), who is now in Delhi is also expected to arrive at Nagaland soon to hold consultations with civil society and other organizations, as according to earlier reports. The date of his visit has yet to be learnt.
