Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): Yi (Young Indians) Nagaland Chapter, an affiliate of CII (confederation of Indian Industry conducted its 10th annual day on April 6 at Unity College on the theme ‘making a difference.’
A press note stated that the main highlights of the programme included the handing over of the Chapter Chair to Kvulo Lorin, Director-Administration, Tetso College and Shukngam, speeches from Colo Mero, Director – Life Sports, Sevituo Yakuza Solo of Project 72 Hrs, Lezo Putsure Director – YouthNet.
Pallavi Barua, Yi Regional Chair for the northeast region and advocate PCB Legalis Frontier Engineering highlighted Yi programmes which include programmes on Road Safety, Gift an Organ, Project Massom, an initiative related to creating awareness on child sexual abuse, YUVA, learning missions, Rural initiatives and also being the Voice of Young Indians globally.
Young Indians is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation playing a proactive role in India's development process. The Yi membership includes young progressive Indians between the age group of 21 & 40 and comprises entrepreneurs, professionals and achievers from different walks of life. “To become the Voice of Young Indians Globally” being the vision of Yi, it provides a platform for young Indians to participate in and contribute by becoming an integral part of the Indian growth story. Yi's work is divided primarily into three groups; youth leadership, nation building and thought leadership.
