Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) has unanimously elected its leaders for the next term of office for five years with President - Yilow Humtsoe; Vice President- Zhiongba Yimkhiung; General Secretary- V Nagi; Joint Secretary- TA Rengma, Kiheto Zhimomi, Mhonyamo Kikon and Thranimba Yimkhiung.
Information & Publicity Wing of NNC (PB) in a press release stated that during its general meeting at Lotha Region on June 2, the house had thorough discussions on the Naga National political issues and resolved to stand for Naga National unity as the urgent most work for the interest of the Naga people as one Homeland and people.
The house also resolved to “work and stand firm for the Naga inalienable rights for freedom of sovereignty” and also to stand and work with all those likeminded groups and people who stand for the Homeland as a whole and for Naga sovereignty.
