
Dimapur, Jan 13 (MExN): The 3rd session of Yimchungrü Akherü Arihako (YAA) was held on January 12. The gathering was exhorted by former minister K Zungkum who urged the students’ community to strive for quality education and compete with other ‘advanced tribes’.
The main speaker in the program was Toshi Wongtong, Assistant Field Officer, National Pollution Control Board, who, speaking on the topic “towards a better perspective”, challenged the students to have a vision and endeavor more to realize their dreams.
The 4th session was held on the morning of January 13th with Thsanphu, former Vice President of YTC as well as public leaders W Akhum and Kiukhum exhorting the gathering. The main speaker at the program was public leader R Tohanba who spoke on the topic “participation in oneness”. He encouraged the students to “have one soul, spirit and body” and oneness to bring about progress for the people. On this, he reminded them of the imperative to be responsible citizens of the community to bring about changes for the uplift of Shamator. The speakers emphasized on the need to participate in the activities of the community and respect elders in every way to receive ‘blessings’. W Akhum urged the students to have a clear vision and receive the best from their efforts. Kiukhum also called upon the students to be aware of all ‘worldly temptation and challenges’. Abstain from politics and instead, pursue your academics with dedication, he advised.
The program will be having two more sessions including a devotional service tomorrow.
