Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe seen addressing his supporters at Wokha Village Public ground on February 5.
Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): A programme was held to declare candidature of Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe who will be contesting for the 38 Wokha seat on the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ticket in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly election scheduled on February 27.
According to a press release received here on Sunday, the programme was held at the Wokha village public ground. Dedication of the party ticket and prayer for the candidature was conducted by Rev O Thungben Kikon pastor, Wokha Village Baptist church.
During the dedication and declaration programme, Humtsoe said that he is contesting election with the spirit of ‘one for all and all for one,’ and he assured the gathering that no one on the constituency would be left behind.
As per the release, he urged the voters to cast their in favour of the NCP while maintaining that the party has also fielded 12 strong candidates in the state and would be part of government formation. Humtsoe further challenged the people of 38 AC Wokha to collectively come together with forgiving hearts and to move together with a vision, for prosperity and development.
The programme was chaired by S Yanphamo Tungoe, former chairman Wokha village council with a welcome address delivered by Vandan Erui, chairman, Wokha village council. Later, a mass prayer for the candidate was observed while Rev MC Kithan said the benediction.
YM Humtsoe will contest the upcoming NLA election with NCP ticket against Renponthung Ezung from BJP and N Wobenthung Lotha on Congress (INC) party.
