Kohima, December 22 (MExN): The Yondon Youth Association (YYA) Pangti village has celebrated 50 years anniversary at Pangti village football ground from December 20 to 21 last.

Addressing the gathering, Skill counselor Renchilo Ngullie said that the celebration symbolized not only “our incredible journey as community but also the enduring legacy that has been the foundation of their progress.”

Emphasizing on the theme “Literally progress through unity,” She urged upon the youth to cherish and protect unity. Renchilo called upon the youth to accept each other's shortcomings and differences of opinions and march towards a common goal.

Prof Vanthungo Ngullie, who was the main speaker of the celebration, lauded the pioneers and appreciated their contributions towards the society. “It is a time to show love, reconciliation and forgiveness,” he said.

50 years anniversary monolith was dedicated by Pangti Baptist Church pastor Rev N Manglio Ngullie. Yantso Ngullie pastor, Assembly of God Church Pangti inaugurated Jubilee bundle. Tuensang Lotha Baptist Church Pastor, Emithung Shitiri also urged the gathering to devote and dedicate themselves to God. He also encouraged the youth to join the competitive world and also reminded them to reset their lives to uplift the society.

LBC Seithekema 'C' Pastor Rhonbemo Odyuo invoked special prayer for the youth and 'A' Khel, Pangti. Chief Engineer (Retd) PEP O Nchumomo Ngullie, Pangti Village chairman Rakhomo Jami and Pangti Village Student Union presidnet Mhajamo Kithan shared jubilee greetings.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by YYA president Chumbenthung Shitiri and Steering Committee Convenor A Nyimtsemo Ngullie. Vote of thanks was proposed by N Mhonjan Ngullie.

Musical night and cultural show also marked the two-day celebration.
