Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The Young Leaders Connect-6 Conclave is underway at the North Eastern Council auditoriums, Shillong, Meghalaya under the theme ‘Made in North-East’. The Young Leaders Connect (YLC) provides a common platform for young leaders achievers from the North-EastRiding on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Made in India’ campaign the conclave will focus on entrepreneurship in the North-East region.

The conclave was graced by Conrad Sangma, Chief Minister Meghalaya, who in his speech mentioned the need to take Entrepreneurship forward for other areas to be developed. While appreciating Hikani Jakhalu, Chair of YouthNet in initiating Young Leaders Connect has indeed brought together Young Leaders from all diverse fields in NorthEast as the beauty of this platform.
Naveen Verma IAS, Secretary Ministry of DONER mentioned the need to take learning forward. Highlighting the need to collaborate amongst North East state and a North East show in the future.
Welcome address was delivered by Hekani Jakhalu (Chair, Governing Council, YouthNet), opening remarks was delivered by Bhaichung Bhutia (Chair, Young Leaders Connect), remarks on Journey & Vision Of An Entrepreneur by Tanushree Hazarika (Co-Chair YLC-6 & Director Taatva Creations & Co-founder Atvi), note on A strong northeast is india’s strength by Gaurav Gogoi (Member of Parliament), Closing Remarks by Larsing Ming Sawyan (Co-Chair YLC-6 Managing Director, Centre Point Group Enterprise). There were also panel discussions on topics such as Entrepreneurs of Northeast - The Game Changers, Creating Eco-System for entrepreneurs to thrive - A policy perspective, expert perspective on branding & packaging for North East products, expectations from funders & investors towards creating an enabling environment to operationalize in the North East, and In conversation with the stars.

On October 28, the Conclave will be followed by a round table discussion on ‘Made In North-East’. Way Forward which will be chaired by Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State (Home) the Chief Patron YLC with the YLC members and entrepreneurs followed by a football match between YLC eleven and CM eleven.
