Tuensang, September 25 (MExN): A youth festival was held with Thungchanbemo Tungoe, ADC Tuensang as the keynote speaker at the town hall, Tuensang on September 25.
A DIPR report stated that the festival was jointly organized by the District Administration Tuensang, District Sports Office Tuensang, and Chang Wedoshe Steshang (CWS) as part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign.
Addressing the gathering, ThungchanbemoTungoe, ADC Tuensang, emphasised the significance of the Youth Festival in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region. He urged students to take pride in their knowledge of the area's traditions and culture. Additionally, he encouraged all eligible students who have reached the age of 18 to register themselves as voters and actively participate in clean elections. Tungoe stressed the importance of selecting dedicated and energetic candidates who can work for the welfare of the community.
The festival included various competitions and activities, such as photography, folk song performances, and a Millet dish competition. The event was chaired by Langasomba, VP of CWS, with Pongsu, President of CWS, providing the highlights of the festival.
The youth festival saw participation from students across Tuensang Town.
