Youth Parliament held in Medziphema

Medziphema, November 20 (MExN): The first Youth Parliament 2017 organized under the aegis of Medziphema Town Youth Organisation (MTYO) was held on November 18 at Town Hall, Medziphema.  

Vihoshe Pucho, Manager, Nagaland State Co-operative Bank (NSCB), Medziphema and Sentilong Ozukum, EAC, Medziphema were the resource lecturers of the conclave, which was sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Dimapur.

Speaking on ‘Entrepreneurial opportunities from schemes through banks,’ Vihoshe Pucho shared on the numerous schemes available for the people through banks, provided they are sincere and dedicated in their ventures. He urged the delegates to come forward and take up the challenge to be financially independent with support from banks, said a press release from MTYO assistant general secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu.  

Sentilong Ozukum, who spoke on ‘Careers and prospects for future,’ urged everyone, particularly the student community to give their very best in studies. However, he said, it may not be sufficient to secure government jobs for all aspirants and that one must acquire other skills, trainings, etc. in order to compete with others today. He also stressed on the need to venture into independent and sustainable areas for financial stability. “Utmost commitment towards our goal is the first step to be successful in life,” he added.
