YouthNet Incubation Centre commemorated its 1st anniversary in the YouthNet Dimapur Office on July 15.

Kohima, July 16 (MExN): YouthNet Incubation Centre, which is Nagaland state first business incubator, commemorated its 1st anniversary in the YouthNet Dimapur Office on July 15. YouthNet in a press release stated that the anniversary was marked with a business pitching and funding session upto ten lakh for entrepreneurs.

YouthNet Incubation Centre is supported by the Department of Industries & Commerce under the Nagaland Start-Up Policy 2019. YouthNet Incubation Centre as Nagaland’s first Incubation Centre “intends to support and nurture innovative start-ups in their pursuit to become scalable and sustainable business enterprise.”

The Centre currently has 16 entrepreneurs, being budding entrepreneurs in certain sectors from handloom & handicrafts, food processing, education to tourism.

Earlier, the event was graced by Keneirienuo K Theunuo, Assistant Director, Startup India, Department of Industries and Commerce. Theunou shared on the Nagaland Start-up Policy to create an enabling environment for start-ups to grow, by ensuring knowledge exchange, capacity building, policy interventions and access to funding. She also shared on the benefits of the incentives such as GST Reimbursement, Broadband Connectivity Reimbursement, Digital Upgradation Subsidy etc.

A special address was shared by Hekani Jakhalu, Chair & Founder, YouthNet and the welcome address was delivered by Nuneseno Chase, Director, YouthNet. The programme was chaired by Neikepekho Shosahie, Manager, YIC, invocation by Albert A Sangtam, proprietor of Clefnote Music Academy, sharing on the entrepreneurs journey by Hinoto Chophy, proprietor, Gogivers Recruitment Agency.
