The handing and taking over ceremony of the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) was held yesterday at its office near All India Radio, Kohima.
Exhorting the gathering ASU tribunal General, Keviphotsü Khwükha maintained that ASU officials have been working in coordination and supporting each other and also taking up all measures in the interest of the students’ community in particular and the Angamis in general. He also wished that the new team would lead the Angami students to a new horizon with renewed vigour.
New President, Zekie Khate and outgoing President, Voto Neikha also spoke on the occasion while asserting to give their best efforts towards upliftment of the Angami students.
The new team of ASU for the tenure 2013-15 will be led by Zakie Khate as the President and Sedevikho Angami as the General Secretary. Other office bearers include: Vice President – Viraseto Neikha, Assistant General Secretary – Vizosielie Rupreo, Secretary Finance - Ketholetuo Angami, Secretary Sports - Mhasimhalie Yhome, Secretary Information & press - Khriezelhou Vitso, Auditor General - Kelevi Tsukru, Secretary Literature - Medoneisa Chadi, Secretary Education - Tsi-u Seyie and Treasurer - Mekhrielie Krose.
The Union Assembly includes: Speaker - Dievi Yano, Deputy Speaker - Rokovizo Senotsu and Assembly Secretary - Zekuosetuo Natso.
