Phek, July 19 (MExN): The Zuketsa Area Public Organisation (ZAPO) observed 'Sanitation Day' across its jurisdiction on July 18, with affiliated units carrying out cleanliness drives in their respective villages.
ZAPO president Kedoutsolhi Wetsah said all affiliated units responded to the organisation's call by undertaking social work and sanitation activities in their villages and surrounding areas.
He said the initiative was aimed at promoting a clean and safe environment while raising awareness about the importance of sanitation.
Wetsah said regular sanitation drives help improve public health, prevent the spread of diseases, remove accumulated waste, enhance the quality of life, support economic development and contribute to the overall cleanliness, dignity and safety of communities.
