Zeliang’s Twitter account allegedly ‘compromised’

Kohima, May 1 (MExN): The verified Twitter Account of Nagaland Leader of Opposition, TR Zeliang was allegedly “compromised by some unscrupulous element” on April 30.

Reportedly a random link was tweeted at around 3:32-3:33 PM. 

“Although, timely intervention managed to extenuate the malicious move, such attempt to malign and tarnish the image of the Leader of Opposition is most condemnable and reprehensible,” a press communiqué issued by Zeliang’s  press secretary, Azeu Namcyn Hau

Calling the incident “unfortunate and woeful,” the communiqué informed that the matter has been brought to the knowledge of Cyber Crime Branch, Nagaland Police for appropriate action as per relevant provision of the law.
