ZGC holds its 36th freshers’ social meet

Zunheboto, August 21 (DIPR): The 36th freshers’ social meet of Zunheboto Government College (ZGC) was held on August 20 at ZGC Indoor Stadium.   Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Director, Department of Higher Education, I. Alempokba expressed his happiness over the exemplary performance in Political science in 2016 BA results. He urged the students to follow the footsteps and bring laurels to the college in future.   Recalling his stay as the Principal of ZGC for two and half years, the Director described the ZGC students as frank, obedient and less aggressive and described his stay in Zunheboto as one of the best in his career.   The chief guest also congratulated 152 freshers’ for their success in HSSLC exam and urged them to make use of the facilities and resources available for their better future.   Acting Principal, Jekugha delivered the welcome address, special presentation from Joshua, exhortation from Associate Professor, Dr. VihuliSema, vote of thanks by Nitoka and benedictionfrom Kibovi and Asst. Professor, Oshyajem Longkumer was the compere.  

  Indoor Stadium cum Multi- Purpose Hall inaugurated   Meanwhile, the college Indoor Stadium cum Multi-Purpose Hall was inaugurated by the Director during the same day.   Speaking on the occasion, he thanked the former Principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier for initiating the indoor stadium project which was completed after 4 years with funds from UGC.   Alempokba also exhorted the students to make use of the Stadium and be a responsible citizen in the society.   Earlier, Acting Principal, ZGC, Jekugha delivered short speech and the stadium was dedicated by Sr.Pastor, SBCZ, Rev.Yevito Zhimo. The program was attended by SDO(C), Shanavas, IAS, SDPO, Yevikhu, Acting President, NPF, Huskha, H.S. Rotokha, STH, ANCSU and well wishers.
