Medziphema, May 23 (MExN): A combined public meeting for leaders and elders of Kuki villages was addressed by Zhaleo Rio at Molvom village community hall on May 23.
Speaking at the campaign, Zhaleo reminded people that a permanent solution to the vexed Naga issue remains to be the top priority since the inception of NDPP. On the party's common minimum program, Rio shared a long list of programs meant for all sections of the society, a press release from press secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu, NDPP 5-Ghaspani-II A/C stated. "In this program, we can also see changes, particularly in creating opportunities for the differently-abled people as well as the elderly, the weak and the rural people," he stated.
Zhaleo Rio also noted that the PDA Candidate for the upcoming election, Tokheho Yepthomi possesses requisite leadership capabilities and that "his vision is beyond compare vis-a-vis Naga people." He also warned the gathering of various sinister designs by people against the PDA whereby propaganda were continuously spread around to tarnish leaders and lure people away from voting for the most-abled leader. He advised people to be wary of such self-centered people disguised to misguide ignorant people.
Rio further urged that every villager should exercise adult franchise on polling day while requesting people to choose and vote for the consensus candidate of PDA government who can deliver the aspirations of the Nagas in general.
