Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Academic and Administration, Audit (AAA) team, Department of Higher Education visited Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire on May 16 for assessment of the college performance on the 7-point scale of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Principal, Zisaji Presidency College, Helen Jamir presented an academic and audit report of the college. A presentation and discussion session was also conducted by IQAC Coordinator, Dr Purna Chandra Mishra.
A press release from the ZPC principal informed that the team undertook inspection of the college infrastructure, examination branch, smart classroom, establishment, library facility with books, accounts section, computer lab, floriculture and boys hostel. Meetings were also held with each head of department, faculty and student executives.
Dr. Watijungshi, Convener of the team and Principal, Kohima College, Dr. RK Behera, Dean of Social Sciences, Patkai Christian College, HK James, HoD, English Department, St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama expressed satisfaction on the overall performance and progress of the college and also remarked that the college is ready for NAAC assessment, the release added.
The team recommended the college for subscription of subject-wise journals for library, college registration with National Digital Library and Swayam Prabha, OPAC. It also recommended on expanding facilities such as indoor stadium, gymnasium, auditorium, language lab, internet- Wi-Fi and projector in all the class rooms. The team further encouraged the teaching faculty to undertake research work.
