ZLR social networks flood with comments over groups' clash

The recent spar between NSCN/GPRN and the ZUF in Manipur has let loose sentiments with many younger Zeliangrong generation from several parts of India and aboard sharply reacting in their exclusive social networking sites. While many seemed to be overwhelmed to support the formation of ZUF, majority of the comments felt unjustified and unfounded for another armed group at this juncture.
“When you are in Rome, You speak Romans. When you are in India you speak their language. To communicate it requires a common language. In our context we can speak only through the kind of medium available. Arms groups is not the best but it’s the only way for one's voice to be heard”, retorted one professional from Andhra Pradesh to which a swift comment came in again which reads, “Even if we are to take up arms we must make sure that it follows certain rules or protocols to make sure that its foundation is strong…strong enough to withstand any situations.... Or we bit the dust again in front of other people......No Not in the manner ZUF formed. If you love your people, love it in a right manner....WRONG LOVE CREATES FALSE HOPE AND CONFUSION”, the curious brother who is from Manipur, replied.
Back in Tamenglong and Peren districts, some supporters of the ZUF lamented the self empathy tale saying they cannot longer sit idle while their land and identity is at a stake and their brothers’ own life in peril.  Some were also taken by surprise on what was termed as “the immaturity of the most acclaimed and matured group”, the NSCN/GPRN who, they said, have not waited for the Zeliangrong organizations to bring about an amicable solution so that bloodshed is averted and relationships are not strained.
“Why should the Zeliangrong people be singled out and punitive actions initiated against the Zeliangrongs alone? Are the Zeliangrong not Naga, or are we second class citizen of Nagalim. IM, K, U, NNC...Is there anyone listening to the cry and pains of Zeliangrong? With all these bias, injustice attitude and treatments how can we remain silent??? It’s a golden opportunity for us to stand firm and point out what is black and white before the world. Let Freedom ring...!” was yet another sizzling proposition from a prying young leader.
But the mainstream and predominant notion going round in these social networking sites of the Zeliangrong community particularly in Facebook; it looks like the younger Zeliangrong generation is weary and fed-up with gun culture and wants nothing more except unity and peace amongst themselves and the Nagas as a whole.
“… If we are united and put all our weight unitedly I believe we can protect our interests...... I seriously doubt that taking up arms will bring any peace or bring solution to our problems ... Because so far except for Mizos taking up arms creates more problems than it solves... “, was one comment harping on peace and unity for solution.
“Uniting the Zeliangrong inhabited areas will be a dream come true for all the Zeliangrong people.. But floating a new militant outfit at this hour may not be the right way to do it…there is too much of underground outfits in the NE region and common people have lost trust in them due to their wrong motives in the name of sovereignty and freedom…If we need to unite, it should be through the democratic means and not by taking up arms coz in the end it's the common people who's gonna suffer again!!” was another quick observation from a professional currently working with 3i-Infotech.
