Peren, July 26 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland (ZLSUN) during its General Convention organized at Council Hall, Peren town on July 24 elected a new team of office bearers for three years tenure.
The team will be led by President Kingsalt Hegwang; Vice-President (General Administration) Rampaukulung Ilungheing; Vice- President (Tening, Nsong, Kebai Area) Dr Pauzieleubo Neime; Vice-President (Peren Jalukie, Ngwalwa Area) Imzui Hingleu; General Secretary Sanlakbo Namdau, Press Secretary Adv Heididing Kulim and Legal Cell- Pungba Meru, Asungbe Hau, Heisuibuile and Italang Ramlia.
ZLSUN Media Cell in a press relese said that the house resolved to re-amendment the 1961 Constitution of ZLSUN for which the committee will be set up by the Executive Council at the earliest date.
Earlier, the programme was compered by Namgwangheile Nsa, invocation by Irui Kenn, Treasurer ZBCC, introductory speech by Kingsalt Hegwang, Convener of interim body, ZLSUN. Iteichu Zeliang, Former President, ZLSUN encouraged the gathering to be solidified and bold in speaking the truth and never to be bogged down by some cheap manipulative propaganda.
The new team of ZLSUN was blessed and dedicated by Rev Kitanwi Chewang, Executive Secretary, Liangmai Baptist Association Nagaland. The programme concluded well with a note of gratitude delivered by Dr. Pauzieleubo Neime, a member of the Interim Body ZLSUN.
