
Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): The Zeliang Officers' Association Nagaland (ZOAN) today condemned the alleged verbal threat meted out to Dr Namsui Thou-u, Chief Veterinary Officer Peren by one Machigwang of Jalukie B Village on April 14.
Terming the same as “uncivilised behaviour,” the ZOAN noted stated that it was “disheartening that the perpetrator has been carrying out developmental works in the land in-question while the Land Settlement Committee of ZOAN is mediating between the Department of AH & Veterinary Services, Nagaland and Jalukie Village.”
The Civil Administration is requested to initiate legal action against the perpetrator as per the provision of the law for threatening the life of a sincere officer who is a bonafide member of the association, added the release issued by ZOAN President, Raithu Newmai and General Secretary, Dr Hiabe Zeliang.
