Jalukie, December 14 (MExN): The two-day Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) general conference commenced under the theme ‘Striving together for better future’ at Jalukie B on December 14. The conference is hosted by Jalukie Students' Union (JSU), stated a press release received here.  

Speaking as introductory guest, Naga Hoho General Secretary, K Elu Ndang said, “the British had committed wrong in the past by dividing the Zeliangrong people into different administrations and today therefore, we are suffering in every aspect of our lives everywhere.” 

“I believe in Zeliangrong common origin and we are one by blood,” he said and added, “no number of artificial boundaries should deter from coming together as one.” He called upon the gathering to emulate the spirit of brotherhood once again and find a way out for a better future. 

Further, he challenged to love, understand and spread love with renewed spirit and refresh mindset and calls upon to restore broken barriers of “our people and its land.”

The introductory session was chaired by former President ZSUN, Asappe, while welcomed address was delivered by Jalukie Students' Union President Agumbe Nring, introductory and presentation by ZSUN former finance secy Itui Teilia and solo was performed by Irahangle N Hau. The event commenced with invocation by Liangmai Baptist Phumling (LBP) Jalukie B Pastor, Kiratan Newmai and concluded with a Benediction by Zeme Baptist Church Council (ZBCC) Field Evangelist, D Anui.
