Jalukie, August 8 (MExN): The Zeme Students' Union (N) organized a felicitation-cum-career guidance programme on August 7 at St Xavier College, Jalukie.
According to a press release from the union on Sunday, President of Zeme Council (N) Dr Tumda Newme who graced the event as special guest emphasized on the theme 'Fostering Future’ and encouraged the students to know their passion and set goals according to it. While acknowledging that the district is ‘financially poor and politically disadvantaged,’ he also underlined that students should not be discouraged because of it, but instead, work hard towards changing the situation in the district.
During the career guidance programme, resource person Dr Ditalak Mpanme highlighted the various fields of education and careers one can pursue after HSLC, HSSLC and undergraduate courses, the release stated.
Meanwhile, meritorious candidates of the HSLC, HSSLC and UG examinations were presented with certificates. The Union extended gratitude to all donors and individuals who contributed to the programme, the release stated.
