DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 27 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) has directed a complete shutdown of Government Schools within its jurisdiction September 30.
A press release from the ZSUN informed that the shutdown has been called due to the Department of School Education’s failure to act upon the seven days ultimatum served by the ZSUN to cancel the teacher redeployment order, dated June 4, 2019.
The ZUSN had submitted an ultimatum to the Department of School Education on September 19 stating that the union would be forced to enforce shutdown of government schools if the department fails to cancel the redeployment order.
It directed all federating units and subordinate bodies to enforce the complete shutdown within their respective jurisdictions. The ZUSN further informed them to submit compliance report accompanied by pictorial proof.
