Peren, July 25 (MExN): The Election Commission of Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) has announced the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the election to the Executive Council of ZSUN for the tenure 2021-2023.
As enshrined on the Constitution Article Twenty of ZSU (N), to ensure ensure free and fair election, the EC shall abide and strictly adhered to the Constitution, stated a press release from ZSUN’s Election Commissioner Amonbo Zeliang
“If any dispute arise relating to interpretation of Article Twenty of ZSU (N) Constitution, the decision of the Election Commission shall prevail and it shall be final and binding,” it said.
“MCC prohibits used of Money, Power, Alcohol to influence vote, it also advise to shun from any provocative languages and deeds, intimidation to such are serious offence and result to disqualification,” it added.
The EC also sought co-operation of all federal bodies under ZSU(N) for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Executive Council Election.
