DIMAPUR, APRIL 21 (MExN): Sebastian Zumvu was appointed as the political attaché to the Chief Minister of Nagaland on April 19. A press statement informed that as the political attaché, Zumvu would be assisting the CM in policy making. Zumvu stated that he would be the “political trouble shooter or trouble maker” for those opposed to CM, adding that he would act as the “political ears, eyes and nose” of the CM.
“I will concentrate on municipal and council election expected in a few months from now and then district-wise assembly constituencies,” he added. Zumvu stated that he would be at the CM’s “beck and call.”
“I say ears and eyes for obvious reasons, but that “nose” part too was added to sniff out potential winners, losers and opponents,” he stated. He asserted that he would do his best for the Chief Minister.
It may be noted that Sebastian served as the Press Secretary to former Chief Minister Dr SC Jamir and also served Jamir as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), when the former CM was serving as the Governors of Goa and Maharastra. He was also the founder and publisher of the first offset daily in Nagaland, the Northeast Herald. Zumvu also assisted Parliamentary Secretary for Urban Development, Zhaleo Rio during the recently concluded Assembly Elections.
