Zunheboto, August 2 (MExN): The Consumer Rights Organisation and District Administration of Zunheboto conducted a ‘surprise raid’ on Monday and seized expired goods worth approximately Rs 15,000. According to a press release from the CRO, the items which included biscuits, juices, and sweets of various brands were seized from a private grocery store at Zunheboto town were destroyed and the shop owner was penalized by the district administration. CRO president Anthony Aye informed that the raid was conducted based on complaints from consumers. Aye further stated that the CRO would continue such raids in the town and called on consumers to bring such cases to the notice of the organisation.
