Dimapur Blues defeated defending champions Kohima Blues 5-2 to claim the 2nd Naga Blues “Champions Trophy” which was held today at Logdrum School Ground, Sangtamtilla, Rangapahar, Dimapur.
Kohima Blues got off to a good start and took an early lead over hosts Dimapur Blues. However, as the game progressed, the visiting side ran out of steam and the host side cruised to comfortable win.
An exhibition match between the fans and the management was also held during the day.
It may be mentioned here that the inaugural edition of the Champion’s Trophy was held at Jakhama in 2015 which the Kohima side won.
