Dimapur, November 17 (MExN):Five Assembly Constituency Congress Committees and frontal bodies of Dimapur have endorsed the demand made by Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) for IFB annulment over the alleged discrepancies in the e-procurement notice invitation for bids (IFB) by the urban development department. All the 5 ACCCs and frontals today demanded the immediate intervention of the governor to check such manipulative precedence being set by the concerned department, questioning on what guidelines the department has allowed the bidder to ask to quote their bids.
In a press release, the ACCCs expressed displeasure for those quoted below the NPWD rate, stating it “is not acceptable.” It prodded the department as to what was the requirement for submitting tender fee when the entire process was done online as per the NPYC press release vide dated November 8, 2019. It further expressed shock that the tender fee had to be submitted in cash (non refundable) which amount to “corruption and nepotism,” it held. They appealed to the right thinking citizens to support this issue in the larger interest and welfare of the society.
