ACYA (SFS) observes Traditional Day

  KOHIMA, September 11 (MExN): Angami Catholic Youth Association (SFS Kohima town) observed a day of tradition ‘Tsazho Nyi’ on September 9 at Angami Public Organisation Hall with Khriehu Liezietsu, ex MLA as the chief guest. Khriehu Liezietsu in his exhortation urged to preserve our age old ethics and culture. He also reiterated that with advancement taking place at a rapid rate we have very much overlooked our traditions today and therefore it is a reminder to everyone that we should be deeply rooted in our good traditional values as it serves as our distinct identity.   Traditional elderly blessings, folklores, demonstration of attires, folksongs from the men folk, women folk and youth folk were sung in the programme. Vilasalie James, senior catechist pronounced the final prayer and concluded the programme. The programme was chaired byVisazhiinuo and Kevichiituo. The hall was packed to capacity which was attended by invitees, patrons and well wishers of the Association.
