BJP Nagaland, others offer condolences

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Nagaland has expressed grief and sorrow at the demise of “a senior party leader, a long time ally, friend and a pillar of strength of the party workers,” K Medom Angami on May 11.  

“It is a very sad occasion that the party workers have to come together today to mourn of his loss – a loss whose vacuum will definitely be hard to be filled because he was associated with the party’s growth and development for a very long time through the period of the party’s difficult and unpredictable nascent stage of development in the state,” stated a condolence message from BJP Nagaland general secretary, Jaangsillung Gonmei.  

Medom, it said, will be fondly remembered as a party leader who had been “affable, kind, jocular, friendly” to the party workers.  

The condolence message said the party will always remain grateful to the deceased. It also extended solidarity to his family and prayed for their solace and strength.  

BJYM: The Nagaland State Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in a separate condolence note expressed sadness over the sudden demise of K Medom Angami. It extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.  

Tovihoto: MLA & Advisor for Power Tovihoto Ayemi has also expressed pain and sadness over the demise of Medom Angami. Tovihoto in a message said Medom was one of the senior most BJP leaders in the State contributing to the progress and strengthening of the party from the grassroots level to the top. He was also the former chairman of Supply Colony Council, Dimapur and tirelessly worked for the welfare of the colony and public at large, the MLA added. “His humble personality earned him the respect and honour from all strata of the society. His demise is a huge loss not only to the BJP but to the Naga people who looked up to his leadership at all times.” He further prayed to God to grant strength and solace to the bereaved family members and relatives to tide over the loss.
