Bookaroo Literature Festival kick-starts

Bookaroo- Festival of Children's Literature kick-started today with several schools in Kohima playing host to 6 Bookaroo Speakers including Savio Mascaren has, Nandini Nayar, Canato Yevito Jimo, Praba Ram, Easterine Kire, and Rituparna Ghosh. The schools these speakers visited were Don Bosco, Dainty Buds, Vineyard, Chandmari Higher Secondary School, Seikhazou GHHS, G. Rio, Fernwood, Minister's Hill, Day Spring, Bethel, North Field, Christ King, Khedi and Baptist High.

 Day two of Bookaroo (Friday, October 26, 2018) will have almost all the schools in Kohima joining in different fun sessions of workshops, storytelling, drama, art and craft etc at Raj Bhavan and The Heritage. There will also be bookstores, book signing, and food stalls at the festival. Altogether 21 speakers are part of the 3-day festival. October 27, 2018 is an open day for everybody where parents can bring their children and be part of the Bookaroo festival. The festival is scheduled to start at 11:00 am on Saturday.
