Career guidance seminar at SD Jain Hr Sec School

Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): With an objective to provide the students the much needed guidance and direction to choose a right career after completing their schooling, SD Jain Higher Secondary School Dimapur invited professionals and experts from different fields to speak to the students and motivate them on August 27 at the school auditorium.  

In the first session, Atu Zumvu (NPS), SDPO, Kohima was the chief guest. He spoke to the students on various career opportunities as a civil servant and also guided the students on how to go about it.  

In the second session, Col. Vishnu Singh Shikarwar, Commandant, 32 Assam Rifles Dimapur was the chief guest. He shared his experiences as an Army Personnel and explained to the students on how to go about to become a commissioned officer in the Defense Services. He motivated the students to join the armed forces by highlighting various facilities provided to the Army Personnel in the country. Further, he encouraged the students to pursue their dream and go for a career that one is passion about.  

Eight other career experts and professionals also took part in the seminar as resources persons on various fields of careers: Imsulemla, Faculty, SETAM, Nagaland University on management careers, Prof. Avikasit (Retired), Dimapur Govt. College on taching careers, Er. Nzan Ngullie, Asst. Professor, NIT, Chumukedima on engineering careers, Anisha Jain CA on careers through CA and CS, Dr. Arihant Jain MDS on medical careers, Kuvolu Lorin, Administrator, Tetso College on careers through mass communication, Dilip Sharma, Asst. Editor, Nagaland Page on journalism careers, and Aosungkum Longkumer, Faculty, NIIT, Dimapur on career as software engineer.  

Reji Abrham, Principal, delivered the welcome address, while introduction of the chief guest was done by Ajay Sethi, Secretary, School Managing Committee.
