Thurutsuswu, September 15 (MExN): The three-day combined fathers’ camp for Thurutsuswu and Khutsa Baptist Churches sponsored by the Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers' Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) culminated at Thurutsuswu Baptist Church on September 15.


According to camp Media Coordinator, Kuzhovesa Soho, CBCMHK Associate Pastor, Asune Swuro led the devotional service while Sr. Pastor, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao spoke on “Stand firm in the Lord; Be men of courage” and “The power of faith, prayer and blessings” during the gospel worship respectively.


Urging upon the campers to be a man guarded at all times and fight against all evil forces, Rev Phesao asserted that one should be firm in their decision and rooted in Bible so that evil forces are defeated and run away from us. “To be standing firm in the feet of Jesus and to avail salvation one should have courage to fight all those evil forces with Bible rooted lifestyle, prayer and self confident.”


Associate Pastor, Thujoneyi Veswuh spoke on the topic, “Father’s role in the Church and society.” A “Healthcare Interactive” session was observed under the supervision of Dr. Itolu Tunyi, MO, NHAK. Several issues were raised by the campers and were clarified by the resource person.
